Baby Farm Animals

On Saturday we made the spur of the moment decision to take the kids to Baby Farm Animal days at the American West Heritage Center in Logan.  It was a fabulous decision.  It was the last day & I thought it would have been crowded - BUT IT WASN'T!  I love non crowded events.

This was Rylee's favorite position of the day.  ADORABLE!  Caleb was NOT interested in anything but holding a baby duck.  He wouldn't even let me put him down in the goat pen or the pig pen.

We found some ducks!!  We couldn't hold these ones because they were to big.

Rylee wanted to hold the rabbit so bad and Taylor wouldn't stop poking it in the eye.
Mission accomplished.  We found some ducks & Caleb got to hold the black one.  Oh happy day!
There is little train at the farm & Caleb was stoked to go for a ride.

This digital picture thing is going to be the death of me.  This isn't even all of the pictures that I took!!

My mom & dad came to babysit on Saturday night so that Casey & I could go on a date.  We went to Boondock's in Kaysville & played some miniature golf (I won!) & air hockey (Casey won!).  We ended the evening at my friend MaLynda's new house for a cookout.  It was a nice night!!

Oh Caleb

We were at the park the other day and a little boy a bit younger than Caleb showed up (I hate sharing the park by the way...it's similar to sharing swimming pools on vacations) The little boy was Indian. Red dot on the forehead Indian - not what makes the red man red Indian. He had jet black hair, really tanned skin & had thick, black eyebrows. Somehow the two of them became ninjas & were running around like crazy people when all of the sudden I hear Caleb yell, "Come on Black ninja!! THIS WAY!" Oh crap was my thought. I looked at the kids dad (who was a total white boy) & he didn't hear because he was to busy on his phone. When we got home I asked Caleb, "What was your ninja name at the park?"

C: "Star Ninja."

Me: How come you were calling that little boy Black Ninja"

C: Did you see him?

Me: Yes.

C: That's why.

Another day Casey took Caleb with him to home depot the other day & the guy that helped them was black. Casey asked where something was & the guy said he'd show them & Caleb piped up, "Follow the brown guy!"

We did explain to him that Heavenly Father makes everyone different.  Different hair, different eyes, different skin color....but I don't know if that will stop the random outbursts.

Treehouse Museum

Casey & I took the kids to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden the other day.  It was a rainy day out so I thought the place would be packed - but surprisingly there wasn't many people!  I love outings like that.

Caleb's FAVORITE place was the train tables.  It was the first thing he saw & we had a hard time getting him to go check everything else out.  We were sure to visit the trains again before we left though.
Lil' Rodeo Rylee!  Rylee is funny.  I'm going to have to get here one of those STUPID backpacks with a leash.  She runs every single change she gets.  At least she announces when she is going to take off.  Every time she yells, "RUN!!"
Look how much fun we are having.  Taylor really didn't want to get on & Rylee didn't want to share.
Caleb milking the cow.
Pulling the sword from the stone.  I love that cartoon :)
Rylee driving the fire truck.
Taylor playing some tic-tac-toe.
Taylor loved the fish tank.

Caleb liked the castle & Knights.
Taylor loved the unicorn & princess.
After the museum we went to sizzler to eat.  I love a good salad bar & I was not disappointed.  The kids were all really good too!  I love successful family outings.

Easter!

A couple of days before Easter we went to Angela's house to dye some eggs.  We tried a shaving cream/food coloring pinterest experiment - but it did not work.  It called for white shaving cream - we only had a gel kind, so I wonder if that is why it bombed.

Caleb chose some sweet Spiderman stickers for his blue egg.
They kids all ready for church on Easter Sunday.  Taylor has her mouth open :)
The Easter Bunny left some baskets in the back yard for the kids to find after chruch.  That rabbit is awesome.
Taylor was seriously shocked at all of the awesomeness.
Rylee eventually came to see what Taylor had found & she was in awe of the watering can.
 Caleb finally found his basket!
This claw/grabber thing & his glasses were a couple of his favorite things.  Simple pleasures!
The girls also got some shades.  Here is Rylee showing hers off.
I'm not sure what was going on here - but I am glad I snapped the picture.  They seem to enjoy each others company. :)
The Easter bunny even left me a little something!
Okay girls - now get to work!
Happy Easter!

Promontory Picnic

I can't believe that our annual Easter picnic was on March 30th this year & the weather was so close to perfect!

The Easter bunny yet again managed to make it out west to hide Easter eggs for the kids.
I actually think that Blake & Caleb are looking at a lizard in this picture...not an egg.
Taylor snatching up a pink egg.
Climbing Elephant Rock to find the eggs!
Jordon, Casey & Ruger managed to catch a few lizards.
Caleb LOVED holding them.  But he had a mini meltdown when the first one jumped out of his hands.  They boys caught him another though so all was good.
I love the vibrant colors in this picture of Casey & Rylee.  I didn't even re-touch it.  It happened to be that nice of a day!
My girls and their red solo cups.  If you look closely - Taylor has had a bit to much to drink.  My mom warned me that I won't think this picture is that funny in 15 years.
Taylor & I flying a kite.
My mom & Dad & Ruger flying kites.
My dad had Caleb's bumblebee kite REALLY high in the air & Caleb thought it was awesome.  He has the cutest grin on his face.
Griffen & Jordon soaked up some sun & caught some Zzzzzz's.  Griffen managed to get quite a burny burn on his arms.
Taylor wasn't sure what to think of Eva.  I think that Eva was in heaven.  I don't think she stopped wandering the whole afternoon.
My mom & her love.
