~Supermodel Documentary Hour~

My neighbor works for a trampoline company.  One fall day last year they needed kids, ages 2-5, for some photos for their products.  So - naturally...who do you think she called?  I must have misunderstood her - I swear she said they would be compensated - so I was thinking a free trampoline or something.  But - they each got a box of cracker jacks and a toy from the dollar store.

I was expecting some elaborate outdoor shoot with a professional photographer - but it was in one of their employee's houses, with another employee who had a nice camera.  WAY more low key than I was thinking.  I had my mom come up to help and everything!

One night while I was trying to stay awake at work I went to several different websites looking for Skywalker Trampolines seeing if any of my kids were pictured.  I found my little Luke!!

Then I found a couple of miss Taylor....

And then I found 1 of my Rylee Roo.
I couldn't find any of my Lex though!  How could they leave out my baby?!?!  No one puts baby in the corner.  Nobody!

March

Taylor & Rylee got to go on an adventure!  My dad had some twin calves in the corrals and my mom wanted my twins to see the calf twins.  They had so much fun! I guess Rylee was a pro at helping my dad with ear tags.  When my dad feeds, he just puts the truck into gear, opens up his door and swings himself onto the back of the truck to cut the twine.  I guess when he made this move Taylor & Rylee FREAKED out!  My mom was still in the truck with them but they were very concerned.  "This isn't a very good idea!"  When the day was done, they didn't want to leave.  When my mom said it was time to go they said, "Well, what if you take our picture over here.  And what if we got over there & you take our picture over there?"  Future models - for sure!
These girls made cute little leprechaun masks for St Patty's day!  Luke & Alexa looked pretty adorable in them as well.
Trying to stay entertained!  Is it summer yet?!?!
Caleb has started playing soccer this spring and while he is at practice I try to get some walking in and the girls ride their scooters or bikes on the sidewalk.  How adorable are these kids?!?  I grabbed my sunglasses when we were walking out the door, so Lex had to have hers and to make things easier, I just grabbed Luke a pair as well.
Caleb is into dinosaurs, Batman and Superman lately.  He loves to 'help' decorate.
The girls helped me put some ingredients into the bread maker one afternoon.  They were so proud of themselves.
Little Miss wants to be a big girl so badly.  This picture she kind of looks like one.  I hate it!
This picture is 100% staged.  Luke has a love for trains.  If you remember, Caleb also loved trains.  BUT - let the panic attacks commence if the train doesn't stay connected to it's cars...or the track breaks...or your baby brother comes to play.  I made Caleb fake the smile for my sake...then he went and found something else to do until Luke took a nap.
Dr Suess week was a hit at preschool!
Just some coloring one evening.  Alexa found the BEST table to use!
Caleb successfully pulled out one of his teeth!  His first tooth fell out while eating a cinnamon roll, the next 2 Casey just couldn't keep his hands away.  This one was all his - he was so proud of himself!!
Brad got a new truck!  It is so nice!  Luke & Lex got to test out the back of it.
Crazy hair day AND pajama day at school!
These two have really started to interact and play with each other.  It's pretty dang cute.

Easter Sunday

We actually made it to Sacrament meeting!  It rarely ever happens.  BUT - the choir was singing and the senior primary got to join in and I didn't want Caleb to miss that opportunity.  They sang "I Wonder When He Comes Again"  It was beautiful!!  I tried to get a quick picture before church.....
...then I tried again after church...
....then I tried again at home.  Truth be told.  I love every single picture.
The Easter bunny came with some surprises while we were gone.  Rylee found her basket first and was so excited!!  Taylor found hers shortly after that.
Alexa loves everything.
Luke LOVES candy!  He didn't care about the fun stuff in his basket - he just wanted to know what was inside those eggs!  Caleb had a hard time finding his basket.  It was resting on top of the shower head in the bathroom.  Silly rabbit!  He got an awesome bazooka - and now he wants to join the army :(

Promontory Easter Fun

130 pictures.  I took 130 pictures.  I deleted a couple.  Like seriously, maybe 7.  I think Ashley took about 40 pictures.  I hope that we documented the day ok.  There is just so much going on!  I don't want to miss a moment let alone ever forget that the moment happened.

These little ladies were ready to find their eggs!
Oh Luke.  He took about an hour to relax.  He was right at my heels for the first while that we were there.  I just think he is super scared that I might be going somewhere without him.  He is such a sweet little boy - but I want to share the sweetness!  Everybody kind of just leaves him be because he freaks out if they talk to him.  I will just try to enjoy the clinginess because before I know it, it will end.  He ate SO MUCH CANDY!!
Caleb!  He has graduated to the "Easter Bunny ends up putting an egg in cow dung stage".  Ew.  That rabbit is disgusting.  He had a blast climbing around finding his eggs and then taking a breather to see what was inside.  He got to shoot his BB gun too!  I think that he really enjoyed himself this year!!
These ladies were everywhere.  Visiting everybody.  Taking 4-wheeler rides from their man crushes. (Jordon, Dylan, Griffy-Poo & Blakie).  Impressing everyone with their rhyming skills.  They had a blast.  On Taylor's wheeler ride with Dylan they happened to see a male horse going pee....I guess she had several questions!
Lexi LOVES Uncle Derrick.  It's adorable.  She'll just chat with him or sit on his lap.  She even got to snuggle up with Jordon!  Jordon went through a stage where not one single little person wanted anything to do with him - well, the tables have TURNED!  He was pretty dang popular this year.
The egg hunt.  I vividly remember that at about Blake's age - it isn't as fun anymore.  It's like the Easter Bunny wants you to be annoyed at him.  Taylor found one of Griffen's eggs and trekked her little body all the way across the hill to hand him to hand it to him.  It was darling!!
Ride on!
The weather wasn't terrible.  Definitely jacket weather, but at least it wasn't windy or freezing!!  My dad had the best job of all.  He kept little Jackson snuggled up for the majority of the day.
This year some shooting was added to the fun.  All of the boys are grown up!  It's sad and not sad at the same time.  So, a man element was added to the picnic.  It was my idea.  I guess I called my dad to see what he thought about it & he said sure.  I guess I didn't run it by my mom. I thought I did.  I was in trouble.  35 and still in trouble.  Sorry mommy.
The day ended with some mouse stomping.  As it should, right?  Testosterone.  I just don't get it.
Grateful for these two wonderful people.  I heart them.

Easter at Dove Creek

The Friday before Easter we headed out to Dove Creek.  I forgot my camera!!!  Seriously...what mother with 5 adorable little children forgets their camera?!  It was a stormy day.  The sun was shining and it was snowing.  I wanted to take pictures of the clouds....we saw plenty of antelope and deer that I wanted to take pictures of too.  Oh well.  I guess I'd rather forget the camera than forget one of the kids.

I am very lucky, Mona let me carry her camera around for the day.  We are also lucky that Brad & Mona have built a little palace for us to stay warm in.  Lexi did grab onto the wood burning stove at one point, but only ended up with a little blister on her hand.  Poor baby.  Here are all of my cuties ready to collect their Easter eggs!  (It was crazy hair day at school for Caleb.  Can you tell?)
They had a lot of fun finding their eggs.  Rylee freaked out quite a bit because Luke & Lex were just picking up every egg that they came across.  If it didn't have their name on it she would yell at them and start to cry a little.  Being 5 is so hard! :)
After the egg hunt Casey frolicked with the bubbles, we enjoyed the break in the clouds, and flew some kites.  Casey got a rag-head thing at Smith & Edwards and he loves it.  I don't know why he loves it, but he probably doesn't know why I love glitter so much either.
Casey & Brad disappeared so Mona set up a tarp so that we could dye some eggs.  I didn't want them to spill the food dye all over, so I was micro managing (which I am trying to do less of).  The kids had fun though, and their eggs were beautiful!
I love that cameras have timers.  It was a fabulous kick off to Easter weekend!
