Deer Hunt

Deer hunt 2017 was in the works!  AND it was snowing.  On the drive up to the campsite there was white flurries everywhere when all of the sudden Caleb said, "Look at all of those sheep!!" I said, "Where?" And he pointed out the window.  I didn't even notice them.  I assumed it was bigger snowflakes or something.  Ha!
Caleb & I were trying to take a selfie in the truck, and I'm aware that I look creepy, but can you see Luke's face in the back seat??  What a cutie patootie!
 We arrived at camp!
Thank goodness that it only snowed on day 1.  The next afternoon was chilly, but tolerable.  There was always a crew around the campfire making sure it was going.
These fun cousins had a blast.  They have a secret spot called Area 52 and they spent a lot of time there.  They also played games and chuckled at each other quite a bit.
These cuties were into EVERYTHING.  They didn't stop.  I wish that I could have just half of their energy!
Selfie!
Luke got a girlfriend.  He fell in love with Casey's cousin, Cherish.  He doesn't let to many people love on him, but he had a soft spot for her.  He also loved to come cuddle with me in the mornings.
We painted stick ones afternoon.  I made a ghost, Rylee made a rainbow and Taylor said that hers was mustard, ranch dressing, ketchup and fry sauce.
It's funny - this group was pretty anti-trailer when I fist started coming around almost 20 (jaw drop) years ago.  Look at the campsite now!  That 30 foot, 2 door beast happens to be ours.  It was so nice to have a trailer!
The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking.
First meal in the new camper!
It would't be camping without a game of spank the berry bird.  I'm looking forward to the day that I don't have to go easy on them.
No deer this year, but what's amazing is we get to all go and try again next year!

Pumpkin Walk

For fall break we headed to the pumpkin walk in North Logan.  It's nice to go at night because they light a bunch of jack-o-lanterns along the walkway and it creates a fun atmosphere....but there are way to many people!!!!  So, we just go during the day.

This year Casey had to work, so I met Ashley and her kids and my friends Jessica and Toni and their kids.  The weather was perfect!

Some of my favorites this year were the 4 seasons, Moana and the cute porcupines roasting mallows.
Towards the end of the walk there is always a big scene.  A different them is picked each year.  I can't believe that the year that Casey couldn't make it the theme was STAR WARS!
Taylor, Eva and Lex were the only ones brave enough to take their picture with the witch.
The cardboard cutouts are always a hit too!
We had all packed a little lunch and headed to the castle park.  Little did I know that there are 2 castle parks.  One in Logan and one in providence.  Ashley went to the one in providence and Toni & I ended up at the one in Logan.  I was totally bummed that we ended up in different places!  Next time I'll be sure to ask WHICH castle park??!!

GV

Look at the good looking group that headed to Gardner's Village this year!!  We have almost tripled in numbers since the beginning of this little tradition.
One of my favorite finds were these potted mandrakes (from Harry Potter!!)  They were asking way to much money, so I didn't' buy one.  I showed a picture of them to Griffen and he said, "Are those REAL?!"
Across the parking lot from the shops there is a petting zoo.  This year we ventured through there.  It was just ok.  The goats and alpacas were pretty stinking adorable.  The kids dug it.
It felt fast paced this year for some reason.  Probably because I'm keeping track of the little ladies and trying to visit at the same time.  I love being able to spend some quality time during my favorite month with my favorite witches.

4 Year olds!

And just like that, these cuties turned 4!
This little lady is the BOSS.  She let's everyone around her know it too. She has the daintiest high pitched, whiny voice and is very petite.  She knows how to argue and knows how to throw mini tantrums.  She also knows how to give the BIGGEST and BEST hugs on the planet.  She is always looking out for Luke and wants to run with the big girls at all times.
Ahhhh....my little shadow!  He loves to help me with WHATEVER it is I am doing.  Laundry, cooking, cleaning, even watching TV.  He never lets me to far out of his sight.  He is starting to speak A LOT more.  I think he had a twin sister that liked to speak for him, but it's cute to watch him find his own little voice.  Every night when he gets tucked into bed, it's seconds after we shut that door that his little fingers and poking out from underneath.  He always falls asleep on the floor and I move him into his bed.  Before morning comes though, you can always find him wedged in between Casey & I.
I love them both so much.  It's been a hard few years, but I honestly feel complete with them in our family.
This picture cracks me up.  Lexi & MaKayla are best buddies and Luke was trying to torment them a little and I scolded him right before I took this picture.  His face is priceless.
