I heart October

October is always full of activities! I love it! Halloween sugar cookies are a MUST. Angela, Ashley, Caleb, Blake, Griffen & I baked way to many last week. They still aren't all frosted. Oopsie.

The bat cookie shape was Caleb's favorite.

My freaking stomach. It keeps getting in the way of things. Who needs a dish rag! Just call Brittni!

Caleb had a lot more fun than I expected. Hooray!
Blake & Caleb hamming it up
Ahhhh....Gardner's village. It's always a good time. This year Angela & I met Aunt Sandra & cousin Amber at Sandra's house for some wonderful homemade Cafe Rio Salads & then we went to the village! The weather was perfect. What I don't understand about the good ol' village is all of the men that are there! I bet every single one of them wanted to shoot themselves in the foot. I would NEVER ask Casey "Hey babe...want to go to Gardner's village?" Maybe some guys dig it...but I didn't see one without a look of "KILL ME NOW" across his face.

The question you may be asking yourself is...who stinks? Angela - or the witch?
My stupid eyes are half shut. Oh well :)

The joys of pregnancy

I bent over to pick up something today & my G bottoms ripped right down my crack-o-la. Talk about a self esteem booster.

Logan

We've taken a few family outings to the Logan area in the last couple of weeks. I don't really do much - but I do enjoy fabulous fall weather, so I'm soaking it up!

At the Spring Hollow campground. I didn't notice that Caleb was being extra touchy until I uploaded the picture. Caleb loves to feed the ducks at First Dam. He knows where we're headed before we even see the water! What a smarty.
Also at the Spring Hollow campground. On a different day Caleb & I met Casey over in Logan (he was working a construction job there) and had a little picnic at Second Dam.

Caleb LOVED throwing rocks into the water.
Some may call me a 'nature lover', but I liked the reflection of the trees in this picture.
My family has a tradition of taking a picnic every year when the leaves start to change. Casey got a hold of my new camera & now officially knows more of it's features than I do. What a show off.
I thought this picture was cool - courtesy of Casey.
Courtesy of Casey - again.
Here is the family playing some Outburst Jr. Yes...I said Jr. It's hard! "World Wide Wrestling Tag Teams" Okay...someone name 10 of them. I dare ya.
Caleb has a smidgen of a lazy eye in this picture - but it's still pretty cute. He LOVED being in the tree! Thanks Uncle Jordon!
Of course....gotta have a picture with his eyes closed. I love how he still peeks out of the one eye to make sure I'm still taking the picture.
Someone managed to get FILTHY in a short amount of time. It's amazing how dirty a 2 year old can get!
Caleb was pretty sure that the bag of cheetos was brought just for him. Ashley had them sitting in her lap & it took him no time to yoink them away from her.

Fingers Crossed

My fingers & toes are crossed that after the Halloween season Caleb won't need therapy when I put his new best friend back into the decor closet.
Watching Dinosaur Train in the morning...
Giving Skeleton a hug...
Taking a nap...
Last Halloween my mom, sisters & I made a cute little craft and this year I got to display them! I still need to paint a couple of the lids black, but I'm out of spray paint at the moment. Here are the cute fellas in the daytime....
...and here they are at night with a tea light in them. The battery powered tea lights didn't put off a bright enough glow but the real flame ones seem to do GREAT! Dracula is my favorite.

Here's is where we got the idea for the jars.... http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/10/crafty-in-kitchen-mason-jar-lanterns.html

Peaches & Pillars

I told myself that I wasn't going to can anything this year. I hate when I lie to myself. I figured I better get some peaches & pears done since I'm going to be spending my life savings on baby food eventually....maybe I could make a dent by having some fruit on hand. I didn't do a lot of peaches...on 17 quarts...because I already have quite a bit from last year. Why 17? Why such a
strange number? I was going to do eighteen but on the last batch - - -
CRAP!
To cheer me up - my dish soap made a butterfly for me while draining. How nice!
We've got these gigantic slug looking caterpillars this year. They are sick. I can pick up a hairy one - but not these big green squishy ones. Caleb was holding one the other day & it twitched & he threw it & screamed like a little girl. It was hilarious. What was even funnier about that - is Casey went & picked it back up to show Caleb that it's okay to hold them....and it twitched again & Casey threw it. HEE HEE - pansies.

Caleb discovered this fella the other day. He wasn't sure how close to get to it.
- getting braver!
I had to be pretty sneaky to get this picture with his eyes open.
If you are wondering - we are still stuck on the "I shut my eyes phase"
