My 1st Preschool Graduate

Caleb has graduated preschool!  Here is a picture of his class the first week of school.
 And 9 months later - a genius.
His teacher was Kaylee Walker Cook.  I actually went to High School with her & she happens to live a few blocks away where she teaches class.  I loved her as Caleb's teacher.   I hope that she is still teaching when my other FOUR children are ready for preschool.
Receiving his diploma.
Congratulations Caleb!!!  We sure love you!

Kaylee asked each student what their favorite part of the year was & Caleb's was fire week.  They made awesome fireman helmets & had a field trip to the fire station.
The first Wednesday of every month they had a field trip to the Bird Refuge where they would learn about different animals.  Caleb LOVED going there!

Kaylee took a lot of pictures!!  It is wonderful to have them.
Here is Caleb & Allie decorating a Valentine.
I can't believe that Kindergarten for this little boy is just around the corner.  He is so smart - sometimes too smart for his own good.  He reminds me of an adult trapped in a tiny body.

Here is his class towards the end of the year.

Randomness

Caleb helping Casey prune the cherry tree this past March.
I think I have a picture of Caleb in this with costume in practically every 'random' post.  My made it when her kids were little!  Caleb loves it.  If you can't tell - he is actually riding a broom in this picture.
These two girls are NEVER in the way when I am attempting to cook.
Caleb & I after a cool whip fight!
Here is one of my cuties (sue me...I'm not positive who it is) sitting in her stroller that she got for her birthday from Angela.

This is Rylee playing on the kindle.  I took the picture because look at how freaking cute her feet are!!!  I need 2 more kindles.  It causes everyone way to much stress.  I guess it teaches sharing.
Rylee LOVES this alligator!
Taylor likes to think she's being sneaky when I put her into bed with a book in her hands.  This time she fell asleep mid chapter it looks like.  Adorable. :)

Mother's Day

Mother's day was a fabulous day.  I was pretty ornery though....I'm blaming heat & hormones.  It's been REALLY hot the past few days!

Casey & the kids got me a bunch of solar lights, a turquoise butterfly wind chime, and a beautiful purple orchid.  To make the day SPECTACULAR - Casey made my favorite meal for lunch AND cleaned it up.  Ribeye steak, a baked potato, corn & popcorn shrimp.  It was so good.

Two of my solar lights are HUGE!  I placed them in some flower pots keeping my fingers crossed that little hands will stay away from them.  Taylor & Rylee love them.  We are currently working on colors and they love that it changes.  They even give it kisses.  I love my weirdos.
The Saturday before Mother's day we met Casey's family at Card picnic area in Logan Canyon for some dutch oven cooking.  They boys planned it & cooked.  Ribs...potatoes...cobbler...green salad & rolls.  Yummy!
The girls loved being somewhere different & couldn't explore enough!
Caleb found some animal bones & carried them around.  He is into insects, bones & extinct animals these days.
We ended Sunday night with a visit to my parents house.  We got my mom a cute charm necklace - I made an okay lemon cheesecake dessert - and the big highlight of the day was getting to Skype with Dylan!  He is doing great...getting skinny...and is still the same Dyl Pic.  He's been on his mission for 8 months already!  It's weird to think that when he comes home, the new twins will be 1 already!

Ready for some adorableness??

Baby Farm Animals

On Saturday we made the spur of the moment decision to take the kids to Baby Farm Animal days at the American West Heritage Center in Logan.  It was a fabulous decision.  It was the last day & I thought it would have been crowded - BUT IT WASN'T!  I love non crowded events.

This was Rylee's favorite position of the day.  ADORABLE!  Caleb was NOT interested in anything but holding a baby duck.  He wouldn't even let me put him down in the goat pen or the pig pen.

We found some ducks!!  We couldn't hold these ones because they were to big.

Rylee wanted to hold the rabbit so bad and Taylor wouldn't stop poking it in the eye.
Mission accomplished.  We found some ducks & Caleb got to hold the black one.  Oh happy day!
There is little train at the farm & Caleb was stoked to go for a ride.

This digital picture thing is going to be the death of me.  This isn't even all of the pictures that I took!!

My mom & dad came to babysit on Saturday night so that Casey & I could go on a date.  We went to Boondock's in Kaysville & played some miniature golf (I won!) & air hockey (Casey won!).  We ended the evening at my friend MaLynda's new house for a cookout.  It was a nice night!!

Oh Caleb

We were at the park the other day and a little boy a bit younger than Caleb showed up (I hate sharing the park by the way...it's similar to sharing swimming pools on vacations) The little boy was Indian. Red dot on the forehead Indian - not what makes the red man red Indian. He had jet black hair, really tanned skin & had thick, black eyebrows. Somehow the two of them became ninjas & were running around like crazy people when all of the sudden I hear Caleb yell, "Come on Black ninja!! THIS WAY!" Oh crap was my thought. I looked at the kids dad (who was a total white boy) & he didn't hear because he was to busy on his phone. When we got home I asked Caleb, "What was your ninja name at the park?"

C: "Star Ninja."

Me: How come you were calling that little boy Black Ninja"

C: Did you see him?

Me: Yes.

C: That's why.

Another day Casey took Caleb with him to home depot the other day & the guy that helped them was black. Casey asked where something was & the guy said he'd show them & Caleb piped up, "Follow the brown guy!"

We did explain to him that Heavenly Father makes everyone different.  Different hair, different eyes, different skin color....but I don't know if that will stop the random outbursts.
