Church Baby Shower

My current visiting teachers & my past visiting teachers threw me a baby shower. HOW STINKIN NICE IS THAT?!?! I was given so many clothes & a gift card to WalMart, which will probably go to diapers, diapers & some more diapers. I hate random pictures...especially ones of me talking. I didn't know I looked liked such tard while having a conversation - no wonder people don't listen to me. I also hate eating pictures - hate hate hate..... .....So I'd have to pose for the ocassional picture. I'm much cuter quiet I guess.
I got a lot of fun bows for their cute little noggins.

I also got some really heavy duty burp cloths. Baby vomit is not something I'm looking forward to at all.

Fabulous cupcakes. I heart cupcakes.

I'm lucky to know such wonderful people who would put together such a fabulous party when they really don't know me that well. It must be my sparkling personality.

Randoms

Casey got out the baby seats the other day to make sure they were all going to fit in the back seat...and they do....barely. Caleb wanted to be a baby. This little guys life is about to be turned upside down.

See - I mentioned in my previous post that Caleb is searching for his smile. He LOVES his bedtime stories!

Here is Caleb 'helping' Casey install the new faucet that I got for Christmas.

BEFORE

AFTER

I LOVE IT!

Caleb has learned how to stall when it's bedtime. He has to "ride his duck"...make sure all of his stuffed animals are in tack...and he's even started saying that he needs to go potty. This child & the potty thing is ridiculous. HE HOLDS IT. BUT, he knows he gets to stay up a little later is he sits on the potty. They learn way to quickly.

A fuzzy pic, but stinkin cute.

Christmas

And......it's over. Christmas is over. And now I'm already stressing about how to pay for THREE kids next year instead of just ONE!

Caleb opening his Zhu Zhu pet airport. He's passed the "I shut my eyes for pictures" stage & is onto "I'm not quite sure how to smile" stage.

Loving his Mr Potato Head

Caleb's Great Grandma Sorensen gave him a 'kwenquin' (penquin) blanket. He loves it!
Playing in the tent. Can you tell that they both HATE the flash of the camera? Proof that I did exist on Christmas day.
Caleb got a lot of fun new toys. He got a Cars Tent & sleeping bag, a new Leap Pad, 2 Zhu Zhu hamsters & the airport, Mr Potato Head, Toy Story 3 DVD, 2 new books, pajamas, jeans & a new shirt, and some small nerf guns.

I got some Reebok Easy Tones so my butt & legs will look like this:

and I got a new goose neck faucet for the kitchen sink, Twilight on DVD (no judging) & 8 new tubes of lip gloss. A girl can NEVER have enough lip gloss.

Casey got stocked up for the winter. Boot warmers, thermal underwear, a face mask, cologne, & a Dane Cook DVD.

Pre-Christmas!

The Saturday before Christmas my family got together for fabulous food & games & presents. We had fish & a delicious roast, funeral potatoes, rolls, peas, strawberry pretzel salad, & RED VELVET CHEESCAKE. Being preganant is so freaking weird. I took a bite of the cheesecake & started crying because I thought it was so delicious. Then everyone started laughing at me so I started crying harder...& harder...& harder. I was a sobbing mess full of laughter & tears. I'm a freak.

Caleb got a fun Toy Story book and a soft Toy Story blanket from my parents. Since my friends had made Caleb a Toy Story quilt for his birthday - my Brother-in-Law Ben bought the blanket from us. He LOVED it. He wrapped up in it & said "I have a Woody under here" (ya know...the cowboy...) We bought Caleb an attachment to his Zhu Zhu pet city with the money.

Ashley & Derrick reading Caleb his new book.

Jordon drew our family name for Christmas this year & gave us the 3rd Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs & the Avatar special disc edition. We got Dylan's name & we got him a HUGE bag of skittles & the XBox 360 game - Halo Reach.

From my parents Casey & I got some nice saute pans (which I've used several times & LOVE LOVE LOVE!), an external hard drive, a gift card to Walkers & the twins got some darling outfits.

We gave my dad a SWEET Kiss Snuggie. It even has a tie so that you can tie it around your waist like a robe so if you need to stand up, it stays put! I thought that was an awesome feature.
Oh Christmas Eve. Casey & I weren't getting along the greatest - which really takes it's toll on a emotionally unstable pregnant person (or so I've heard). I made a pan of funeral potates, some muddy buddies & I attempted a cheescake topped chocolate cake (which didn't come out of the pan - but was still delicious!) After all of that cooking & cleaning it up & dealing with a SICK CALEB (which is never fun) I had flat out worn myself ragged.
We were supposed to go to Casey's parents house for dinner & fun, but I just couldn't bring myself to even get ready. I told Casey that I was going to lay down & that he & Caleb could go without me. When I got up from my mini nap - Caleb & Casey were still home! Caleb's fever was raging & he was miserable, so they stayed home also. We had leftovers for dinner...rented a red box...and looked at a few more Christmas lights around town. I hope that this isn't our new family tradition.

Here is Caleb helping me stir up the cake batter. He LOVES to grab a chair & help out not matter what I'm doing. Dishes are his favorite - but he sure gets sopping wet!
All that I can say is THANK YOU STRANGER! A few days before Christmas we heard the doorbell....I was in the middle of doing dishes & Casey was in the middle of changing a diaper, so it took us a second to get to the door - which probably helped out the elves that left this amazing surprise on our doorstep. I sure wish that I knew who to thank....so....anyone want to give me a hint???
