Pre-Christmas!

The Saturday before Christmas my family got together for fabulous food & games & presents. We had fish & a delicious roast, funeral potatoes, rolls, peas, strawberry pretzel salad, & RED VELVET CHEESCAKE. Being preganant is so freaking weird. I took a bite of the cheesecake & started crying because I thought it was so delicious. Then everyone started laughing at me so I started crying harder...& harder...& harder. I was a sobbing mess full of laughter & tears. I'm a freak.

Caleb got a fun Toy Story book and a soft Toy Story blanket from my parents. Since my friends had made Caleb a Toy Story quilt for his birthday - my Brother-in-Law Ben bought the blanket from us. He LOVED it. He wrapped up in it & said "I have a Woody under here" (ya know...the cowboy...) We bought Caleb an attachment to his Zhu Zhu pet city with the money.

Ashley & Derrick reading Caleb his new book.

Jordon drew our family name for Christmas this year & gave us the 3rd Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs & the Avatar special disc edition. We got Dylan's name & we got him a HUGE bag of skittles & the XBox 360 game - Halo Reach.

From my parents Casey & I got some nice saute pans (which I've used several times & LOVE LOVE LOVE!), an external hard drive, a gift card to Walkers & the twins got some darling outfits.

We gave my dad a SWEET Kiss Snuggie. It even has a tie so that you can tie it around your waist like a robe so if you need to stand up, it stays put! I thought that was an awesome feature.
Oh Christmas Eve. Casey & I weren't getting along the greatest - which really takes it's toll on a emotionally unstable pregnant person (or so I've heard). I made a pan of funeral potates, some muddy buddies & I attempted a cheescake topped chocolate cake (which didn't come out of the pan - but was still delicious!) After all of that cooking & cleaning it up & dealing with a SICK CALEB (which is never fun) I had flat out worn myself ragged.
We were supposed to go to Casey's parents house for dinner & fun, but I just couldn't bring myself to even get ready. I told Casey that I was going to lay down & that he & Caleb could go without me. When I got up from my mini nap - Caleb & Casey were still home! Caleb's fever was raging & he was miserable, so they stayed home also. We had leftovers for dinner...rented a red box...and looked at a few more Christmas lights around town. I hope that this isn't our new family tradition.

Here is Caleb helping me stir up the cake batter. He LOVES to grab a chair & help out not matter what I'm doing. Dishes are his favorite - but he sure gets sopping wet!
All that I can say is THANK YOU STRANGER! A few days before Christmas we heard the doorbell....I was in the middle of doing dishes & Casey was in the middle of changing a diaper, so it took us a second to get to the door - which probably helped out the elves that left this amazing surprise on our doorstep. I sure wish that I knew who to thank....so....anyone want to give me a hint???
