What do I love. . .

Here are a few things that I love! I hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day!

TULIPS. They are such a beautiful flower & when you start to see them peeking out of the snow it means that spring is just around the corner!
KITTENS & PUPPIES. Seriously - what is cuter than a little short legged ball of fur?
CALEB. I'm assuming since every single post on my blog has to do with him, you already knew he would make the list.
TOENAIL POLISH. Not nail polish. I'm not one who paints my fingers, and it's a rare day when you see my naked toenails. I love ALL colors!! My mom said that she hasn't seen someone with so many different colors. If you were to peek into her polish collection you'd see 30 different shades of the same color.
FAMILY. It's so nice that no matter what situation you are in...good or bad....happy or sad....silly or sucky....you can always find that perfect person to talk to about it!
THE OCEAN. It's such a magnificent thing. It's so relaxing to be near the ocean. The noise, the smell, the sandy beach....I wish I lived a bit closer to one!
CASEY. At least today he is one of my favorite things. Other days he may not make the list. Marriage is freaking hard! We'll keep taking it one day at a time.
For Valentine's day Casey got the new Mudvayne CD, Wolverine DVD & some nut balls from Idle Isle. I got Dirty Dancing DVD, a Reese's Egg (yum), a new bath robe/towel thing & cute socks. Caleb got Happy Feet DVD, a book & some nerds.
We went to my parents house for Valentine's Dinner & then played The Newlywed Game. Ashley & Derrick won...but they really were the only 'true' newlyweds. I would like a rematch soon though!

LOVE!

I love my new job. Love love love it! I get to talk to people, help with food (I love to bake) and doing dishes in a humongous dishwasher isn't as nasty as I thought it would be! One down side - I look like a fruit loop in a hair net. Other than that - I actually look forward to going. I'm not positive how often I'll be working & there is even some talk about making me a part time cook - which would mean more moo-lah, but I'd have to find a sitter for a couple of hours on those days. Hopefully I can make it work. So far I'm digging my new chapter in life.

I love my little weirdo.
What do you do when your toddler naps?

A new chapter..

I'm slightly freaking out inside. I'm starting up a second job this week. I was hired part time to work at Alpine Rehabilitation Center. I'll be a 'kitchen bitc*'. At least that's how I see it. I'll assist the cook as needed...serve the patients in the dining room...serve the patients that choose to eat in their rooms & then clean it all up & go home. What is interesting to me - is I am actually kind of excited! I'm excited to working with actual people & be able to move around a bit. For the past 2 years I haven't got to work with people & I believe I'm becoming more & more socially retarded as the days go on. I'll keep my job at Flying J until I am no longer needed there. I'm very grateful to have another job in the works for when I lose my job at the good ol' J.

I met my friend MaLynda this weekend for some bowling & some shopping. I love to bowl. I still want to bowl a 200 by the time I'm 30, but that isn't looking to good. I need to practice more. I bowled a 117 & 125 & MaLynda had a 98 & 124. My whole 30x30 list is probably just going to be a bust. I need moo-lah to complete a lot of the things & that is just something that I am lacking (along with the rest of the country)

I had to find some black work shoes & in my search for them I bought some DARLING black snow boots on clearance for $8 & I purse I've been eyeballing at Maurice's also for $8. I love a good deal. It's dumb how giddy I get when I get a great deal.

If anyone has any fabulous crock pot recipes, send them my way! Casey & Caleb will eat out WAY to much if I don't have something decent for them to eat once in a while.

Snow much fun!

Caleb came out to help me shovel the driveway one day last month. He thought the snow was pretty neat stuff. He liked to walk in it & then turn around & check out his foot prints.
Today after church we decided to go make a snowman. Caleb HATED being in the back yard. The snow was way too deep for him to walk in & he kept falling & crying & falling & crying...and come to find out his major problem was he was trying to get to his swing in the very back corner of the yard. Once he was swinging - he was a happy boy. I stuck a carrot into the snowman for his nose & Caleb thought it was the coolest thing! So - we used 1/2 of a bag of mini carrots because Caleb thought it was such a great time.

Happy Birthday to ME!

I love birthdays. I love balloons, confetti, cake, presents, family, friends....I just LOVE BIRTHDAYS! I do have one gripe about my own birthday - it's to freaking close Christmas. But I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with it. I will survive.

I had a very fun birthday evening. My entire family & Casey's entire family went bowling in Brigham City. I love to bowl. My friend MaLynda & I were on a league in Tremonton once & you got a free ball made when the league was over - so I have a pretty glittery purple & blue ball. I love it. I feel quite nerdy carrying it into the bowling alley because people probably assume that I'm a fairly decent bowler since I have my own ball (& shoes) but then I bowl a 105 (if I'm lucky). I was happy that everyone could make it to celebrate my awesomeness.

I was spoiled as well! Angela's Fam - Jem Cake (she's truly outrageous) & yard gnome....Ashley & Derrick - necklace...Ma & Pa - cute Halloween lantern & Halloween candles...Casey & Caleb - Black Velvet Perfume from Victoria's Secret...Colby's Fam - MoTab CD...Brad & Mona - cash o la!
My brother Dylan picking up chicks. What a stud.
A cute Chinese lantern that you put a battery operated tea light in. It's covered in black bats (& glitta - of course). I can't WAIT for Halloween so that I can display it!!
My 'dapper' brother's in their sweet suit jackets they had just purchased at the DI.
My sister managed to get a shot of EVERY SINGLE PERSON bowling! I've decided that the bowling stance is not the most attractive pose a person can pull - so I won't be posting those pictures. I am happy to have them though :)

In my father's words. . .

So - picture this. It's 11:00 pm & I'm done working & getting to the gym. It's usually just me & this other girl (who drives a yellow bug & has long dark hair), but there was a couple of other guys there on Monday night. I go into the restroom & change into my gym clothes...zip up my bag & take my water bottle out of the side pocket. I'm walking over to the little cubbies they have for your stuff to put my bag in there & this one guy kind of gave me a weird look...then he did it again....THEN HE DID IT AGAIN! I wanted to yell "WHAT?!?"

So, I put my water bottle on top of the cubbies & as I'm putting my bag away thinking "What the hell guy...take a picture, It'll last longer" I reach for my drink & notice a panty liner stuck to my water bottle. Don't vomit - it was unused. I keep a few other items in the side pocket of my gym bag & somehow the backing came off of the little liner & stuck to my bottle. I was like "Oh...okay. You can stare" It was hilarious.

As my dad would say "Hang on to your panty liner" (the inside joke is a freaking riot!)
