September

Casey, Shelby, Colby & Logan started of September hiking in the 100 degree heat!  They were searching for a mine but didn't find it.  But they found it on google maps later - so that counts, right?
Peach days parade!  We met up with Shelby's family and Caleb's friend Dreyson.  The girls came home from school with peach days crowns and I was a little worried.  I have only shown my kids the parade part of peach days and not the carnival part yet.  I thought maybe the school had spilled the beans!
FINALLY!  I found something that Caleb really enjoys!  We have tried soccer, tball, baseball, ninja class and Flag Football is the winner!  He was always so excited for game day and the last game of the season he asked if he could play next year too.  Of course!!!
Luke was adorable this summer.  What is it about 4 year olds??!!  We were receiving the irrigation water one morning and he was pretending to be gold panning just like dad.  And the grasshoppers are horrible this year!  But Luke is a mighty hunter.  I was finding dead ones EVERYWHERE.
Casey, Shelby, Uncle Darrin and cousin Justin went searching for gold in Idaho City.  They found little gold, but I think they made some fun memories.  Casey must like me....he finds hearts on his adventures and takes pictures of them for me.
We got a basket of produce one morning and there were some larger sized green onions in it.  Casey told the kids that whoever ate one he would buy them a Slurpee.  Taylor rose up to the challenge.
One of my bunco friends was turning 40 and her husband wanted to celebrate with a Park City birthday bash.  We were able to find a sitter and we headed to Park City for the night.  We got in a tiff though.  So, that sucked.  But we faked it for this nice picture.
For Labor day we met some of Casey's family at the new splash pad in Brigham for a little picnic.  The little kids definitely had a ton of fun!

Anderson Fall Picnic

It was a perfect day for a picnic.  Taylor & Rylee were so happy that Yoda got to come this year!  They want a dog so bad....I just don't though.  What do ya do?  I love these pictures of my twins and my twins.
A good highlight for I think everyone, except for Taylor & Rylee, is a good game of Spank the Berry Bird.
I found this darling fuzzy caterpillar and these two blondies loved it.  About 10 minutes later I was itching like crazy and a rash started on my arm.  It didn't affect anyone else, but dang!  He was mean to me for some reason.
Another highlight of the afternoon was SMORE TIME!  This many kids with this many hot sticks is always a bit nerve wracking - but we all survived.
Caleb is working on perfecting his mallow toasting.  I'd say he's got it down!  Look at the squishy goodness AND look at that cute face too.
Nom, nom, nom - and really?  Taylor & Rylee are only 10 months older that Eva!  They are tall girls!
We were in a primo spot.  There was plenty of trails, a bridge with water running over it, and trees around us.  The kids stayed busy and played so cute together and the adults were able to sit and visit without worrying.
Say cheese!
I always enjoy the fall picnic.  Good weather, good food, good people.  Who could ask for more?

Back To School

What!  This kid is in 5th grade!  Last year of Elementary school.  He isn't big enough!!  I've always been worried that he's going to get pushed into a locker in middle school.  I'll break some necks if that happens.  I hope that he can make some great friends this year and carry those friendships to 6th grade next year!

My little identical twinsies were put into the same class this year!  I hope that they are friends in school.  Or at least I hope that they have their eye out for the other one at all times!  I never worried about them going to school because I know that they will always have a friend.
This little miss is 7 going on 17.  Rylee has already asked questions about shaving her legs and how to know which classroom to go to in high school and wants to know if it's hard to drive a car.  Slow down little lady!

I love that they look like triplets.  They really do love each other and I hope that they stand up for themselves and each other this year.  Kids can be so mean!  Best. Year. Ever.
All the big kids went to school so the littlest got to go on a breakfast date with just mom & dad!
But a couple of weeks went by and it was their turn!  Off to Kaylee's Kiddie College!  They will go twice a week with 2 optional field trips a month.
I won't lie.  I'm a little worried about my little sidekick.  He loves me...which I love...but I hope that he adjusts and learns to become more independent.  He has definitely shown a lot of interest this summer in numbers and letters.  He is ready to learn a LOT!

This little miss sass is ready for the social aspect of school!  She isn't interested in the learning part at all.  Just the art and the friendships.  She'll be amazing at it all though.  I'm glad that she is there to help her big brother out.

I'm not crying...you are.  But for reals.  I got a little choked up dropping them off.  I know that I'm still needed....but I was REALLY needed for a lot of years and that is changing.  I'm not happy about it, but I'm not sad either.  It's just a new chapter that I need to get figured out.

August

Workin' at the car wash....keeping kids entertained in the summer time is easy with a hose, a car and a bottle of dish soap.
We went to the Cache rodeo with just the big kids.  Taylor & Rylee sure love their daddy.
My hair has a major issue in the summer time.  It is so dang greasy!!  But we sure a are a cute bunch!
Taylor had been begging all summer to make cookies.  She put on her apron that she made with Grandma Mona and cookies were made!
Caleb got the opportunity to mow the lawn.  I think that he loved it and hated it.  He is starting to learn how good it feels to accomplish something.
Casey is determined to find some gold.  He bought a gold cube in order to assist him in his efforts.
Grammy hosted a water day at her house.  The hula hooping was the best thing about the day....but it was really windy!
These two love helping in the kitchen.  I assisted them in making french toast casserole one day.
Another gold trip!  Casey went with Shelby, Uncle Darren and cousin Byron to Crescent Creek.
Pool Day!  We even took 3 of the day care kids, Laynee, Addyson and RJ.  I had a coupon that was going to expire.  It was a very fun day!  Lazy rivers are so much fun.
The girls found a giant snail in the neighbors yard and had to come show me.  I took a picture and told her to put that giant back where she found it.
We rocked out one night with Angela and the boys at a Shinedown/Godsmack concert.  I really enjoyed it.  I really wanted Godsmack to play a certain song and Griffen wanted a different one.  We both freaked out when our songs were played.  It's like they read our minds.
In typical end of summer fashion - we went to the Box Elder County fair.  Had a burger.  Rode a few rides.  And people watched. I shouldn't have put Caleb in that spot on the scrambler.....he ended up with a major bruise on his hip!  That picture of Taylor & Rylee in the center melts me.  I love when their little hands lock together.

Dinosaur Park

One summer day we headed to the dinosaur park with my mom.  I remember the last time I went I had the double stroller and it didn't fit in doorways.....needless to say it wasn't the best trip.

This time was great.  Everyone had a dinosaur shirt except for Alexa , but she didn't seem to mind.  They had an attraction that I hadn't seen before and I told the kids not to touch the electric fence.  Rylee thinks she's a comedian.  Glad I'm taken seriously.
There was fun indoor paleontologist digging sight that the kids liked.  I liked that it was little pebbles instead of sand!  My identical twins are sure turning into photo opportunity weirdos.  Rylee getting electrocuted above and Taylor shocked at her findings below.  And Caleb was right in his element!
We had fun walking around outside, eating a picnic lunch and doing some coloring in the arts & crafts building.  The 2nd best part of the day was Luke.  He told me he had to pee....so I was handing my lunchbox to grammy and turned around to take him and he was aready going.  Weenie out...pants & underwear around his ankles...and a steady arched stream just flowing away.  At least it was into the shrubs.
What was the best part of the day?  My mom.  We decided to take a selfie with the T Rex behind us and she kept real screaming for the picture.  Just a tiny, dainty scream.  It was cracking me up.  Why was she screaming when the camera can't hear it?  She said, "It makes the scream look more realistic!"  It was hilarious.

Bear Lake

Of course we couldn't let the summer go by without a trip to Bear Lake.  It wasn't a very sunny day, but fun was still had!  Here are the cute group of kids that we had. Our 5 plus Shayden & McKayla.
 Diva status - level expert!
 Cuteness status - level expert.
Eating is always one of the highlights for the kids when at the beach.  But not for me!  Sand is gross.  This picture is funny to me.  Out of our 5 littles, these 3 won't turn down food EVER!
 Feeding the birds some popcorn!
We stopped at Pugstones to rent a kayak and a paddle board.  Shayden & Caleb rarely left them!  I'm glad that they had each other to hang with.
Then, in typical Bear Lake fashion, the winds picked up.  They boys were both on the paddle board at this time and they kept floating farther & farther away from us.  Shelby was already out on the water and headed to help them out, and Casey got nervous and dove in to go help too.  Who needs a Superman when Shelby & Casey are around?
It was a great day!  It's now tradition to snap a few pictures before we head back home.
I've had this tie-dye cover up for years....think I can keep it forever?
The kids at the end of the day.
These cute kids just keep growing up!! I'm going to hold Lexi in pictures until she's at least 10 though.  :)
