I've lost my mind

I was approached by my neighbors with the idea of watching their children. That's right. Day care. It is day 2.....& I'm wondering what I was thinking!  I don't think there is enough pepsi in the world to get me through this

I told myself I need to attempt a schedule for meals/quiet time/TV time/outside time...but the schedule will be muddled with my sweet Taylor & Rylee. They are still on the "I make my own schedule" routine.

I have the following:
2 - 6 month old beautiful girls
1 - 1 year old
1 - 4 year old
1 - 3 year old (sweet Caleb!)
1 - 5 year old (in Kindergarten - doesn't get her until 11:20)
1 - 9 year old (doesn't get here until 3)

I am so glad I'm not a polygamist.

6 months!

Can you believe that these ladies are 6 months old already??!!?? They sure don't stay super small for very long. They are both rolling all over the place, reaching for toys, eating like champs, and spend most of their time being adorable. This past week I have found BOTH of their ticklish spots...it is so fun!

Taylor

Weight 14.12 lbs - 23 percentile

Height - 27" - 86 percentile

Head Circ. - 43 - 63 percentile Rylee

Weight - 14.5 lbs - 16 percentile

Height - 26.5" - 72 percentile

Head Circ - 42 - 48 percentile Caleb, Taylor, Rylee & I walked to the park this morning and I took this picture. It shows how beautiful their blue eyes are! It also shows you how much hair they DON'T have.

Some summer pictures!

This summer is almost over!!! I've attempted to do some 'super fun' things, but they seem to always backfire - so here is what our days mostly consist of.

The girls are now eating baby food twice a day. Breakfast & dinner. They both are fabulous eaters! Here is Taylor....she must have still been hungry after breakfast!

CAUTION!!! Here comes an adorable picture!!! They are getting very strong on their stomachs and will be crawling before I know it! (Rylee in Blue - Taylor in Pink)
Our baby hummingbirds. Caleb & I would check the nest almost every morning while we were feeding Simba.

Discovering a dragonfly with dad. Caleb would NOT touch it. Notice his hands behind his back?

Rylee - "Really mom...another picture??"

Watching a movie in his Lightning McQueen tent. One of my childhood memories is making a 'fan tent' with a sheet & heavy books & a fan. I need to make one for Caleb soon!

Trying on mom's vintage PJ's. (Taylor in white - Rylee in blue)

Caleb as a robot!!

Taking a nap. I love that they are sound asleep - but in the exact same position.

Making AWESOME things with his blocks!

Caleb LOVES going to the park. We try to get there a few times each week. His favorite is the blue park (Snow park). Brigham City is lame though because they don't have any swings! I love swings!

I love lounging by the pool...any pool. This is how my pool experiences have went this year. #1 I took all 3 kids to the Brigham pool in the early summer & we lasted about an hour. They wouldn't even refund my $! Oh well - not their fault. #2 Casey, Caleb & I met some of his family & my brother Dylan at Cherry Hill for Casey's birthday in July. After about an hour & a half of swim time, they evacuated the place because of a storm. #3 Last Friday when Casey got home from work I took Caleb to the pool. We met Angela & Blake there. Finally - a good time could be had!! THEN....someone vomited in the pool. We had only been there for an hour. The pool was evacuated & they asked everyone to either get a pass to come back another day or come back after the pool was cleaned. At least we got a free pass to come back! #4 Yesterday Caleb & I finally got about 3 hours of decent pool time! Caleb loves the kid slides & loves it when Angela takes him down the big blue slide. He is also getting much braver. Last year he wouldn't walk around in the shallow end...I'd have to sit & hold him, but yesterday he would venture away from me. Not far....but baby steps is fine with me.

Sibling Night!

My fingers are crossed that my family won't end up dysfunctional like 90% of families I know. I've been told to stop trying....most families just don't get along...but I'm not a quitter!! I strongly believe that in order to 'get along' we must spend some time valuable time together! We had a 'sibling night' when my brother, Jordon, left for the MTC a couple of years ago & now my BABY brother, Dylan, is college bound. Another night of fun & games was in order for sure!
We went to Fredricos in Logan for dinner. They have the best ham & cheese salads EVER. And I now highly recommend their Chicken Alfredo Pasta. I could feel myself getting fatter after each & every bite! We learned that Angela can't stand maternity pictures and REALLY can't stand family pictures of people when they all appear naked & are wrapped up in bed or something cheesy. She was quite animated with her description of those pictures! (I don't think any of us will look at her the same)

After we finished eating Ashley ditched us to go pack for a boating trip & the rest of us headed to the fun park. We played the arcade games. It was a blast because we had the whole place to ourselves and could act as silly as we wanted! Jordon managed to hit the jackpot on a game & we ended up with almost 500 tickets. Of course - with our tickets we got........FABULOUS MUSTACHES! Jordon looked like Super Mario, Dylan looked like Hitler, Angela looked like a biker, & I looked like a hairy person! GOOD TIMES!
