Pre Halloween Fun

On Thursday me & Caleb & my mom & sisters met my Aunt Sandra & cousin Amber in West Jordan at Gardners village. Caleb HATED it. He hated sitting in the restaurant...hated being in the stroller...hated the ride home...BUT I had a good time regardless. I enjoy getting together with family & going to places that we don't go to often. We ate at Archibalds (the resaurant there) and it was all right food. It was probably 80 degrees in that place though. Very uncomfortable. We then walked around and shopped a little. All of the Halloween stuff was on sale & they were getting Christmas stuff out so it was good timing.

The ride home was intersting. We drove on back roads FOREVER until we finally found an on ramp when I was in the right lane by the refineries. Oopsie. BUT - we made it home and it was a fun time. Thanks ladies! I've attached some pictures of the sexy bitc....I mean witches!! And Caleb too of course...he's a hard lad to make sit stil!

Last Sunday I had my family come over to carve pumpkins and eat some grub. We had sloppy joes & pasta salad & chips & veggies & caramel apples & dirt cups...needless to say - no one went hungry...well except for maybe my mom & Jordon. They are the pickiest eaters EVER! It was a fun time & I just might have to make it a tradition!

Blake reminds me of Christina Ricci on the movie MERMAIDS. In one scene she puts a pumpkin on her head & is running into walls and eventually falls to the floor and says "Racheeeeeel Flaaaaaaax" It's funny. He could hardly hold his head up & kept trying to play his Nintendo DS through the holes in the pumpkin.

Last Friday we went to the Pumpkin Walk in Logan with my sister Ashley. She claims that last year it was fab - and I must say it sounds pretty good - but alas...this year was kinda lame in my eyes. They had a really cute Noah's Ark display...so here a couple of pictures. I do have to admit...it was lovely to get out of the house & enjoy the cool fall weather.

Heaven...

I'm in heaven. I caved at the store today & got my 2 major weaknesses. Puffs and peeps. I'm convinced that a nice big bag of Cheeto Puffs and a glass of milk can cure anything. I had to settle for ghost Peeps instead of Pumpkin ones though...tear. They are still soooooo good. Gma Babe would be so disappointed in me!

Today I made grape jelly. It was easy - but a bigger chore with a 10-month old than I anticipated. One batch of jelly only makes 4 pints...so it took awhile. I ended up with 16 pints & 3 jelly jars & didn't even use all of my grapes! Now I know that I don't need to pick as many from my backyard...takers?? Mona (Casey's mom) had to come help me (THANK YOU!) get started because it was my first time & that kind of stuff intimidates me. I'm not as domesticated as I think I should be. Oh well!

First you pick & wash the grapes.

Then you put them into a steamer/juicer thing for a whole hour.

Then you mix your juice with sugar & pectin and cook it for a bit.

Put it in jars & process away!

On Friday I went to a fun miniature golf course in Providence with Jeanne & Niki. They are always a good time. This golf course is all decorated for Halloween which I thought was fantastic! We were there a bit to early though, so we didn't get to see it all lit up. I'll have to BEG Casey for a date night so that I can go back at night time. I scored 2 holes in 1!! I'm the putting champion! I won out of the 3 of us so I scored a voucher for a free game. Woo Hoo! Go me!


After we were done golfing we went to Fredricos for dinner. We all ate way to much...but how do you stop when it's so freaking good?!?! Ham & cheese salad...root beer...and a mini personal pepporoni & pineapple pizza. D E L I S H!! I ended up taking most of the pizza home & having it for breakfast the next day. I love cold pizza for breakfast.

My baby brother

My little baby brother Dyaln is growing up :( He is 15 already! I remember when he was a baby I would come home from school & just go get him and hold him & feed him a bottle and rock him & play with him.... He was my baby. I think the liked me all right too. He did nice things for me...he would catch frogs & put them in my bedroom because I liked frogs. What a sweetie. We had a photo shoot on Friday and here is a collage that I put together. He'll be a heart-breaker. The ladies already love him! (I think he likes them too)

Dinosaur Park

On Wednesday Caleb & I went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden with my mom, Grandma Babe, Angela, Griffen and Blake. It was pretty neat there. Caleb HATED the museum. He wouldn't stop screaming. He liked being outside...but only if the stroller was moving. There was a pond with beautiful ducks & huge fish that you could feed. The fish were freaking viscious! If the ducks weren't quick enough getting the food the fish would take it right out of their beaks! Blake & Griffen seemed to have a fun time. I think that they liked digging for bones. I'll definitely go back when Caleb isn't a pansy. They do a lot for Halloween and were just getting all of their decorations out. It would be fun to go back for the Halloween festivities.
