Packing Blows

So - I have a blog stalker. Hello blog stalker lady! I can't decide how I feel about it.

I'm packing for CALIFORNIA! I'm super excited, but decided that I HATE packing. I think I've made 4 different lists. One for Caleb, one for food, one for me & one of random thoughts. I'm insane. I had SOOOOOOO much to do today & didn't get it all done. I have to work tomorrow & make a cute cake for my nephew & go to his party, drop off Caleb at my mom & dad's & then we're leaving at 6:30 AM on Saturday!!!! I did get my toenails painted though...& yes, it was on one of my lists. If you're wondering, the color is pink freeze with a top coat of glitta. FABULOUS!

I'm so excited to get away from the every day crap! I don't know if Casey is excited or not, but he better freaking pretend he is. Here is our itinerary so that you can think of me on a daily basis & be jealous :)

Sat: Mesquite, massages, swimming
Sun: Arrive at Oceanside
Mon: Disneyland
Tue: California Adventure
Wed: The Price is Right. I even had T-shirts made. They are the coolest!!! They are green & in white it has a picture of a train & it says "Choo Choo Choo choose me!" You know it's awesome. Don't deny it.
Thur: San Diego Temple & La Jolla beach.
Fri: Fishing or a boat ride...need to check prices
Sat: Whatever we can find! Or - we might start driving home. We haven't really discussed that yet.

My Grandpa had open heart surgery (4 freaking bypasses & fixed an artery) on Tuesday & is doing AWESOME (from what I hear). I want to go visit so bad but I have a stupid cough. I feel fab, but this cough will NOT go away. I hear that he is in good spirits & loves his nurses & has been entertaining all who come to see him. I hope he recovers quickly & gets to go home soon!

On Wednesday I went to a trainer at the gym (it was free...had to do it) and I got my A handed to me. I am so sore. The stairs are almost impossible to get up & down. I have to get out of my car like an old person...I put one hand on either side of the door opening & push myself out. I don't know if I'll be able to get out of the car tomorrow because I worked my shoulders & chest today. Should be interesting. I hope that I'm not being filmed for What Not to Wear this week because I'm walking around like I have a board up my butt.

Shopping Trip

Caleb & I went to run some errands this morning & I thought "I should go to the DI. Just to see what they have." Well - the DI has senior citezens, mexicans (not being racist...just stating a fact) & a checker in an orange bicycle helmet.

My shopping day wasn't a total miss though. I did get 5 GrillMates Grill seasonings for FREE . I guess I better buy some steaks now. Smith's was out of all of the good ones & WalMart was pretty bare as well - but I manged to get my checker at WalMart to price match Smith's for $1 and then use my $1 off coupon. Suckers!

Earlier this week at Albertson's I got 5 Lyson toilet bowl cleaners for only 74 cents each! I thought that was a GREAT deal.

Easter Weekend

Friday: Casey, Caleb & I packed up our lunch and headed out to Dove Creek. Did you just say to yourself "where??" It is just west of Park Valley. Casey's parents have some property out there & we went for a picnic. We had a good lunch & a relaxing afternoon visiting. The weather was pretty much perfect - it's about time for that!

Saturday: The annual Anderson family Promontory picnic. Holy crappy weather! It was pretty windy & cold & sprinkles of rain. Needless to say - we made it a quick trip. We had some hot dogs from Premium meat (delicious!) & tried to brave the weather, but Caleb was NOT having it. So we headed home.

Later that night we all went to Angela's house for some cake for my brother's bday & some Metallica Guitar Hero. It was a freaking blast!! Some of you will notice in this cake picture that I am freaking retarded. That is NOT how you spell my brother's name. I made the cake on Friday & I didn't even realize it was wrong until Saturday. I'm blaming it on my nasty cold that won't go away. It puts cobwebs in my head. The cake did get fixed before he saw it though.

Sunday: So - starting on Friday, I was getting sick & by Sunday I'm a stuffy, congested mess. I have to breathe with my mouth open - so you can picture how attractive that is. Grrrr baby. Caleb had a very cranky day & the Easter Bunny couldn't even save his crankiness. He got a fun new swing & didn't want anything to do with it. He acted like we were putting him in a torture chamber & looked like he was going to vomit when he was being pushed. Hopefully he'll cheer up & like it in a few days. Casey's family came over for dinner & it was yummy.

I got a haircut....not really a cut, but I got more bangs. It's funny how all I did for years was grow them out...grow them out...grow them out & now it seems like I get more & more each time I go get my hair trimmed. Us women are never satisfied. This isn't the greatest picture, but it's all I have.

Nada

Not a whole heck of a lot has been going on with me lately. Hence (yes I said Hence) the lack of blog posting. Casey has been working the Nucor shutdown in Plymouth & that has screwed up both of our schedules, but the moolah will be wonderful. Especially since we're on a countdown to VACAY!! Woot woot! Only 23 days!

I bought some Freshetta (spelling?) frozen pizzas when the were on sale at Smith's a few weeks ago & we finally ate one. HOLY DELICIOUS! I don't know what it was...the sauce maybe...but it was the best frozen pizza ever. If you are wondering, I would highly recommend them.

Caleb has a new buddy. It's a cute little blue & white puppy that my friend Megan gave him at his baby shower. He loves it. It's pretty stinkin cute. He totally slept in the other day & when I checked on him he had the puppy in his arm...his hand on the care bear...& his thumb in his mouth. Cute, cute cute. (mom...don't freak about all the blankets in the crib please. It isn't usually that way.)

Casey & I have been doing Weight Watchers & exercising more. I'm down 13 pounds & he is down 15 pounds AND he started like 3 weeks after me. Stupid boys. I'm not complaining about dropping some ellbees, but why does he get to pass me up!?

Here is Caleb after dinner the other night. He had been munching on some goldfish crackers while I ate my dinner & when he was done decided to just chill.

So - I was so super excited (HECK YES) about my Def Leppard/Poison tickets that I won and I went to Salt Lake to pick them up & they are on the freaking lawn! I don't even get a seat! I'm was pretty bummed. Free is free...but seriously...lawn tickets??? ARRRRRGGHH!
