Stupid Technology

Due to the digital camera era...I have so many pictures of that I love that I can't scrapbook them all. So - I came up with the following pages. It was hard to cut it down to this many pictures! Keep in mind that this digital scrapbooking is still super new to me & I'm attempting to learn - so they aren't fabulous. But - the less I know, I figure the less complicated it is. Let me know what you think.

Holy lack of sleep...

Caleb is sick. Crap! We had a good run though. He's 9 1/2 months old & is just barely getting his first cold. Pretty good for a December baby I think. I got 4 hours of restless sleep on Monday night and about the same last night. I just let him sleep with me last night - and that was a joke. He was everywhere. Even though he isn't feeling the best and depriving me of my beauty sleep (which I REALLY REALLY need) how could I be upset at such a cutie?

Caleb's 9-Month Photo Shoot

This morning Casey & I had Caleb's 9-month pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids in Ogden. He was such a cutie!! Here are some of my favs. (I have no clue why they uploaded in different sizes) At Caleb's 9-month Well-Baby visit he weighed 16 pounds and 4 ounces.

On Friday night Casey & I (& Shelby & Shayden) met Ashley & Derrick (my sister & her bf) at the hocky game in Logan. It was USU vs WSU and I guess it's one of the best fight nights. The stadium was pretty packed. Jordon (my brother) was sitting on the other side of us and thought Ashley and I were lame when we started jamming out to the Weird Al song that started playing...he was just jealous that he couldn't come chill with us. USU won & it was an exciting game. The guy sitting next to me was super lame. . .my favorite line of the night was when 2 people started fighting he said (not yelled) "oh yeah...get some" Get some what??? Here are some pics.

I know that everyone says it. . .

. . . but I sincerely believe that I mean it the most. I LOVE FALL!!! The crisp morning air, the cool nights, the awesome colors in the mountains, and of course - the fun orange decor!!! I got my fall stuff out today and had to take some pictures. I love adding color to our house. I should just pick a bold color & add it to my everyday stuff, but then what would I have to look forward to?

I'm waving at everyone in the mirror - Hello!

This is the only Halloween stuff that I got out - the Jack-o-Lantern, Caleb's cute cat hand print, and my "The Witch is In" tile. I'll wait until October 1 to get the rest out. I'm waiting patiently.These are some cute pumpkins that I made several years ago. You just take a 4x4 and cut it into 3 different heights and glue some leaves on top. Then you get a smaller piece of square wood, paint it brown & nail it into the top for the stem...I guess they could be green....then you tie with rafia and ta-da!!

Brittni the Movie Chick

MAMMA MIA - Two thumbs all of the way down. I HATED it! There was a couple of spots that made me chuckle, but it was almost like it was an out of body experience - like my body had to laugh to keep from having a seizure from watching something so stupid. Pierce Brosnan will never be the same. He started singing a song and it was a sad one...Angela said "Oh Pierce...don't cry" I said "Oh Pierce....DON'T SING!! Go shoot something!" If you're wondering, I would not recommend going to see Mamma Mia. What is strange - is I usually LOVE musicals so I thought Mamma Mia was going to be a shoe in!! Here are a few of my fav.

GREASE - Two thumbs straight up - like a martini - A true classic. Good humor...good acting....good singing.....good songs....you just can't go wrong with Grease.

HAIRSPRAY - Two ecstatic thumbs up. Edna, Tracy, Link, Corny (oh my heart be still)...love them all! Like Grease - good humor...good acting...good singing...good songs....good costumes....good story....well I'm beginning to wonder if I have a subconscious love thing for John Travolta? Since he plays a woman in Hairspray, is my subconscious a lesbian??? Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Scumps to Spoc & Jasmine

Okay - I saw that I hadn't posted in awhile, but not a whole heck of a lot has happened. Last week Casey took our cats (Spoc & Jasmine) to the animal shelter - tear :( I'm still pretty sad about it. BUT - there were peeing on things and ruining them...I didn't know that cats did that!! And their hair was E V E R Y W H E R E. I know that sounds stupid - of course they are going to shed, but I didn't know it would be so much! They would also swat & nip at any little kids that would try to pet them & I really didn't need a child getting bit (especially my own when he can catch them). We did love our cats, but it was time for them to go. A sad lesson to learn - but my dad was right....most animals probably belong outside. So - Spoc & Jasmine - here is to you!

When Casey was taking the cats to the Animal Shelter - I said "You better take the truck because if they pee it will leak through the box"...he took the car (I swear he just blocks me out and thinks that I just talk to hear myself) & Spoc escaped and peed in the back seat. It freaking reaks...what am I going to do?!?!?!

Last night we took Caleb to Kiddie Kandids in the Ogden mall to get his 9-month pictures take. He was NOT having it. What a stinker! We had to make a different appointment. I was so excited to get them done since his 6-month pictures were so stinkin cute. He really hated the girl that was trying to make him smile...brought him to tears even and that doesn't happen often. We re-scheduled for the 20th in the AM so that maybe his mood will be better. Wish us luck!

Sneek Peak!

For Labor Day - Angela & I made 3 batches of salsa. Bottling things stresses her out...it's funny to watch. We ate a TON and it turned out delicious (like you didn't know that it would be fabulous anyway)

I've attached some pictures of the basement...we're getting closer! Casey is working hard and doing a great job. I'm so excited to not have a mess anymore! As you can see - we've got the painting done (most of it). We put new trim around all of the doors and the baseboards and some trim up for crown molding. It really makes it look tons better! We need to paint some of the trim and get some new light fixtures installed and then I think we're done.

I just want to say how much fun Caleb is. He is so easy to make smile these days and it's freaking adorable. Enjoy!
