Mother's Day

This is the cuteness that I got to take care of Mother's Day morning. They were all so cute. Caleb really loves his sisters. He hasn't had a jealous phase and in his 'pretend' play he always will say "Mom and Dad and Caleb and Taylor and Rylee" I'm happy that the transition was fairly easy for him.

For my gift Casey took me to Alpine Gardens and I got to get flowers for my favorite summer basket. I hope I remember to take a picture this fall when the flowers are big & beautiful!

We went to church and got told that Caleb is having a VERY hard time transitioning from nursery to sunbeams. It makes me sad. They said that he just cries & screams & says "I want to go to church!!" They finally figured out that he thinks church means to play with toys. I've sat with him through sharing time & he is completely restless & ends up in tears - even with me with him, so we are having F U N at church these days.

After church we went to visit Casey's mom. We made her (& Brad) a cute 18-month photo calendar. I love that it's something they can use all year long. After playing Last Word, we headed to my mom's. We gave her a head massager (it is to die for). We played Imaginiff & ate some fabulous fruit salsa that my mom whipped up. It was a fun, relaxing day.

My parents bought us a FABULOUS double jogging stroller. It is such a smooth ride and even has some speakers and a place to plug in an MP3 player! We loaded up all the kids the other day and made the trek to a RedBox to rent a movie. Black Swan is an odd little show.
Around 9-10 weeks, Taylor & Rylee started to smile. I wish I felt like I had a little more time to get photos of them smiling, but I just soak it up instead of trying to chase down the camera. At this time, Rylee smiles a lot more that Taylor; therefore, she has been named Smiley Rylee.

Baby Blessings

On May 1, Casey gave Taylor & Rylee their blessings. I believe that he was truly touched by the spirit. We are so fortunate to have our loving, supportive families so close by. Seeing them all there was so special to me. The girls looked so precious in their blessing dresses from my Grandpa & Grandma Hunsaker. They were complete with ruffle socks, headbands, & bracelets.

TaylorWorking up to the blessing day was quite a chore! Cleaning the house & getting the yard presentable was a challenge with a toddler, twin babies & the non-stop rainy weather!! My mom & my Grandma Hunsaker came over to help me which was very much appreciated. I also don't think I could survive without my sister Angela's 'drop by's' and 'fill ups' (code for fabulous, miraculous pepsi). Casey's parents stopped by the Saturday before the blessing.

My Aunt Julia had to alter the sleeves on the dresses because they were HUGE! I'm lucky to know people that have incredible talents! I suck at sewing anything that isn't a basic, straight line.
We had a great lunch. I'm also lucky to know people with FABULOUS cooking/baking skills. I love food. I ordered some meat & cheese trays from Walmart and picked them up on Saturday night. I was carrying both of them & the lid wasn't on the bottom one tight & when I was trying to come into the house I managed to drop it. Thankfully I told Walmart my sob story & they made me another tray to pick up on Sunday morning. We had sandwiches, several salads, chips, and a spread of desserts that could kill! Cookies & cream cupcakes...mini cheesecakes...fabulous brownies...rice crispy treats...peanut butter cookies. Y U M

While everyone was chowing down in the backyard, my cousin, Amber, was in the basement doing another photo shoot. She does such a great job! I'm having such a hard time picking out what photos to have hanging in my front room. I also took a few more pictures myself. The question is...what in the world am I going to do with 300 pictures of them in their blessing dresses?? They are all so beautiful.

Caleb was hilarious. He really loves Toy Story. His favorite at the moment is Toy Story 2. He would climb onto his cousin Logan's back and throw his hand in the air & scream "Ride like the wind Bullseye!" It was classic.

It was also my little sister's 25th birthday. I'm glad that she decided to spend it with us!! To be inside of her brain at times would be so entertaining. After the party had died down, some of my family stayed & visited for a bit. A random thought my mother had was "Did you know that it's illegal in China to have a waist bigger than 33 inches??" So a few of us say "Well...see you in prison!!" Ashley's mind was just spinning and then she says "OOOOhhhhhhh!! I thought you meant WASTE! And I was thinking 'Who in the world has poop that big!'"

Caleb LOVES his cousins & uncles & aunts & grandparents. He wants to play with them all of the time & is always so sad when they have to leave. He had a lot of fun. Caleb is also hilarious & dramatic. I wouldn't change this little guy a bit. He's a keeper.

Easter - Part 3 - The Final Chapter

On Easter Sunday we managed to get up & get ready for church (a miracle in itself...& church doesn't even start until 11). Caleb is having a hard time transitioning from Nursery to Sunbeams. We say "let's go to church" & he thinks he's going to go play with toys. It's so hard! Do other kids have a hard time switching classes??? I guess his teacher this week just took him to nursery & let him play - Casey told them to come & get him instead & he would sit with him through class. ANYWAYS - while we were gone at church, the Eater bunny left some baskets for the kids!

The loot! Both girls got a TY stuffed animal, a pinwheel, darling hair accessories, bubbles, teethers & a book about the 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed.

Once Caleb saw his basket out in some tall grass outside, he saw that there was a toy James & Gordon! (Trains from the Thomas & His Friends EMPIRE!) He grabbed those trains & didn't care about anything else in that basket. He just wanted those trains to be opened!

He got A Bugs Life DVD, a cute dinosaur book about opposites, hopscotch bags & chalk, a baseball & bat, bubbles, and CANDY!

Caleb also had a can of silly string in his basket. I don't know what the Easter bunny was thinking. I opened it up & sprayed him with it & he FREAKED! He ran all the way across the yard screaming like he was being tortured. I'm mean...I cracked up. He warmed up to the idea of the silly string the next day & we got dad with it when he got home from work.

After a fabulous lunch of funeral potatoes, ham & green salad - the kids went down for a nap. We all had a fabulous weekend.

Easter - Part 2 - Promontory

Saturday=Promontory picnic! I was so excited for Easter this year because it was so late! The end of April?!?! FINALLY - some nice weather for the Easter picnic. And mother nature slapped me. Sometimes she can be such a . . . anyways. . . the weather wasn't terrible, but it could've been a smidge better. Last year we had the annual picnic at my parents house & the year before that Promontory was so windy that we drove out, ate & left! At least this year we stayed for a while - so my complaining will cease. . . now.

Every year - the first thing Griffen & Blake do is go Lizard hunting. I'm so sad that I didn't get a picture of the 4 lizards that they had caught within the first 10 minutes of being there! The sat on the picnic table in a water bottle. . . why didn't I take a picture? The best was the few times that my mom was picking up trash & she'd pick the lizard bottle up & they'd jump. She'd scream & drop the bottle every time. Priceless!

My dad came to rescue me from the car so that I could eat lunch - KFC, salads, chips, fresh fruit & cupcakes - delish! Taylor was needing some TLC & Rylee slept pretty much the whole afternoon away! What perfect babies I have!

Oh my. Angela managed to fall to the ground dismounting a 4-wheeler. It was super slow motion & instead of coming to her rescue, I started snapping pictures. She's dang lucky she missed all of the cow pies!

Easter - Part 1 - Dove Creek

Easter was exhausting!!! - But it was still a lot of fun. Our festivities started on Friday and we headed out to Dove Creek (it's by Park Valley...so it's quite the trek) to spend some time with Casey's family. Everyone made it there except for Tamara & her new baby McKenna - we missed them! I don't think that the temperature hit 50 degrees - but if the sun was out, it really wasn't to bad of a day.

Casey's mom brought hard boiled eggs and markers for the kids. Caleb would put a tiny bit of black marker on his egg and then FREAK OUT for someone to take it off!! Then.....he'd do it again! He wanted a white egg. It's a good think Mona brought several eggs, she just kept giving him a new one.

Taylor & Rylee were angels. They spend the majority of their time in the car sound asleep. I didn't even get a picture of Taylor :( But here is sweet Rylee.

Casey doesn't want people to think that he's trying to be a 'cowboy'. He's decided to pursue an interest in authentic mountain man era things - so here he is in his pretty sweet authentic hat the he loves.

Mona was on the ball! She even managed to get the Easter bunny out to dove creek to hide Easter eggs! Caleb was excited to find eggs that he could shake & hear the candy in. When he picked one up that had a marshmallow peep in it...it didn't make any noise...so he just dropped it to the ground and stared at it in disappointment. What a funny little drama queen.

All of the boys brought their guns to shoot. Caleb LOVES guns...which I'm thinking isn't a good thing and we need to invest in a gun safe ASAP...Casey let him look at his .22 pistol and Caleb got to go with the boys to watch them shoot. He was very discouraged that he couldn't hold the guns. Poor guy.

My little guy is so dramatic! While he & Grandma Mona were playing catch, if he missed he'd toss his paddle to the ground and slump his shoulders over and just stare at it.

By the end of the day Caleb was exhausted! Since we've had the girls, we haven't gotten out a whole lot and he had a couple months worth of energy to get out of his system. I love how he has a half smile on his face and his half eaten piece of bread in his hand. Such a cute sweet boy.
